Janhavi's Story

A psychologist, educator and founder.

My work is driven by a deep commitment to advocacy, education, and empowering people to build the confidence to navigate complex systems, communicate effectively, and create meaningful change in their lives.

My journey began when I moved to Melbourne as a young adult, navigating unfamiliar systems while trying to hold onto ambition, identity, and direction. I quickly realised how much mentorship, guidance, and self-advocacy were missing - especially in environments that can feel rigid, overwhelming, or unequal.

That experience shaped how I understand organisations and systems: not simply as structures we work within, but as spaces that require awareness, strategy, and the ability to advocate for yourself while staying connected to your values and voice.

It also gave me a deeper understanding of the invisible pressures many people carry. Over the years, I have had to navigate competing demands across professional growth, personal identity, responsibility, and adapting to constantly changing environments. Through this, I recognised a broader challenge facing many young professionals today: the pace of change, evolving workplace expectations, social and political uncertainty, and increasing complexity of modern life often outpace the resources and support available to help people cope, adapt, and thrive.

This understanding continues to inform my work today.

Since then, I’ve worked across both public and private sectors and founded Aira Psychology with a clear vision: to support adults and young adults who often carry more than they show — aiming to help them find balance, strengthen self-trust, advocate for themselves, and navigate the competing demands of life with clarity, strategy, and confidence.

Aira Psychology was born from lived experience and a belief that people deserve more than simply learning to cope with challenging systems. They deserve the tools, support, and confidence to understand those systems, find their voice within them, and create meaningful change in their own lives.

Our Philosophy

We believe wellbeing is shaped by both our inner world and the environments we navigate.

People do not struggle in isolation. Our experiences, relationships, workplaces, and broader systems all influence how we think, feel, and function.

We believe meaningful change begins with understanding your story. Through evidence-based psychology, we aim to help you build the skills, insight, and self-agency needed to make intentional choices and create a life that aligns with your values.

You bring your lived experience. We bring clinical experience, structure, and support.
